Open Firmware Information

This is information concerning FirmWorks' Open Firmware and Power Firmware products.

Open Firmware is an integrated monitor/debugger, specified by IEEE 1275-1994, available for a variety of platforms, including Alpha, PowerPC, SPARC, StrongARM, and Intel x86. FirmWorks makes available both an implementation of Open Firmware, and consulting services to aid its implementation on your platform.

For PCI card developers, FirmWorks provides a manual, Writing FCode Programs for PCI. FirmWorks also offers a FCode Driver Developers' Class for those who prefer a more formal introduction to the techniques of writing FCode drivers.

Hardware and firmware engineers may be interested in the Open Firmware Command Reference, which contains a complete reference to the Open Firmware user interface.

For diagnostics and OS engineers, FirmWorks offers a manual Open Firmware Client Interface Developer's Guide.
